Valentine’s Day is recognized around the world as a day where you show your special someone how much you love them. Men are scrambling around trying to plan the perfect date night with their lover, or at least they should be. Women absolutely love all the gifts and flowers that they receive, while the men are left wondering why they just spend $35 on a box of chocolates. It doesn’t come down to how much money you spend on someone to show how much you really care, but more rather that you at least spent more than two seconds planning a date or gift idea. Here are a few Valentine’s Day date ideas that say, “I love you” without breaking the bank:
1. Ice Skating
It’s a place that can have a romantic setting, and you are also able to act like kids again. If neither of you have been ice skating before then it will be a chance that you can learn something together, or if just one of you have skated before then you are able to teach your partner. It’s a relatively inexpensive date, and at the same time you are able to go out and have a good time. Since you would be outside in the cold skating, then chances are that afterward you both would want to go make cocoa and cuddle up for a movie.
2. Make her a home cooked meal
What woman doesn’t want a man that knows how to cook? This will be the perfect time to show off your talents. A candlelit dinner with some cheap wine will really set the mood. You are able to have a fun and romantic time without even leaving the comfort of your house. Having a romantic dinner at home can be much more special than eating out — not to mention less expensive.
3. Spa Day
Instead of just sending gifts to your significant other, why not do something that both of you are able to enjoy. A spa day would be a perfect way to just relax with your special someone. Its not something that she will be able to show all her friends, but I’m sure she will plenty of bragging to her friends about your great date idea.
4. Recreate Your First Date
It doesn’t matter what happened or how simple your first date was, it is a day that you will always remember. Recreating the first time you went out is a great way to remember why and how you feel in love in the first place. If your first date was a dud then you could always recreate your favorite date. You don’t have to follow the first date exactly, but even it will bring back some of your favorite memories with your special someone.
