Not Ready for the Cold? 3 Tropical Paradises to Visit This Winter

Winter brings snow shoveling, icy sidewalks, and chapped lips. It’s no wonder many people look to escape the blustery winter and run away to islands with warm beaches and hammocks. Here are three tropical paradises you can escape to this winter.

Barbuda

Often paired with its sister island, Antigua, Barbuda is known for its pink sand beaches and relaxed vibe. Visitors enjoy exceptional golf, diving, snorkeling, and surfing. Wildlife and natural beauty are both major reasons why people visit. One of the main attractions is the Frigate Bird Sanctuary which is home to 5,000 birds.

The limestone island is also home to many spectacular caves, including Darby Cave. Dark Cave is famous as the home of the rare blind shrimp and a large number of bats.

Canouan

Part of the island chain known as The Grenadines, this small piece of land packs a great deal of beauty into three and a half miles. There are two resorts in Canouan, but many visitors decide to stay in areas more populated by locals. Canouan is known for the incredible barrier reef off the Atlantic coast of the island. The reef is a favorite destination for a variety of visitors from beginning snorkelers to scuba diving enthusiasts from around the world.

Florida

A little more convenient and closer to home for some, Florida is a great tropical destination. It offers many things from surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, fine dining, beach walking, and more. If you like beaches, consider vacationing at Cocoa Beach, a nice and economic spot for your next trip. If you don’t want to stay in a hotel, or like Florida so much you’re looking for something that can be used often in the future, consider renting or buying a condo through a realtor. Using professionals will help you take the stress out of finding the perfect spot for you, which covers your needs and still fits your budget.

If the winter blues have got you down, then you should seriously consider a trip to one of these beautiful tropical paradises. Put away the heavy coats, store the snow shovel in the shed, and let the neighbors worry about the sidewalks. It’s time for you to pack a bag for a once in a lifetime trip featuring beautiful beaches, breathtaking natural wonders, and some much needed warm weather.
