1. Kings Park
Kings Park is one of the most incredible places around Perth! With its remarkable expanses of unique bushland, tranquil parkland and botanic garden, the Park is the most popular destination in Western Australia. It can be great for many different things: taking fantastic pictures of the city, a place to clear your mind, take your partner there for a date, and for the summer outdoor movies!
2. Cottesloe Beach
Cottesloe is a beach you could spend all day at, cooling off in the clear water, then walking 100 meters to grab an ice-cream! In summer Cottesloe beach is usually packed, but for good reason. It’s stunning! White sand, clean water and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, it’s a very popular destination for both tourists and locals. It’s not the best beach for kids as the water gets deep very quick!

3. Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA)
Explore 12,000 km of Western Australia’s coastline in just few hundred meters! From the icy waters of the southern ocean to the tropical wonderland of coral reefs in the Far North, AQWA takes you on an underwater journey to discover the incredible and unique marine life of Western Australia. Other attractions include playful seals and reefs of coral, wiggly jellyfish and graceful sea dragons. If you dare, you can scuba dive with sharks in the Shipwreck Coast feature aquarium!
Ticket options: adults – $29, children – $17, AQWA ocean pass – $30
Hours: Daily from 10am to 5pm
4. Swan River
Perth’s favorite playground, the Swan River is a stunning waterway which winds its way from the Darling Scarp to Fremantle. This natural attraction is popular location for Perth locals and you have a great opportunity to enjoy a day out boating, fishing, skiing, paddling, swimming, picnicking or simply enjoying its vista!
5. Fraser Avenue Lookout
If you are looking for a spectacular view of the city of Perth and the Swan River, Fraser Avenue Lookout is the place to go! It is located in Kings Park a short distance from the central business district and is the perfect spot to chill out and have a picnic whilst soaking in the amazing views of Perth!
