What kinds of beer do Germans drink?
There are tons of different beers you can drink during Oktoberfest. One specific type is called Dunkel, which really just means “dark” in German. There are multiple dunkel styles out there with different flavors. Munich dunkels are rich, chocolatey, and sweet. Another German beer style is called Altbier, which is a dark beer that is described by The Huffington Post as “crispy dry.” There are also sweeter types of Altbier as well, such as caramel flavored.

Oktoberfest brings out people in all sorts of outfits. Most people arrive at Oktoberfest early in the day and stay for hours drinking, socializing, and hopping from tent to tent. Men sport leather trousers and women wear the traditional Bavarian Dirndl.
