Beach Bachelorette Destinations

If you’re anything like those of us here in Nebraska, though Labor Day may still be all about summer fun, you’re already accepting the fate of winter temperatures and looking forward to next summer (once Husker football season is done, that is). It might be a bit too late to plan a beach bachelorette party for this Labor Day, but it’s never too early to start looking toward celebrations to kick off the 2015 wedding season. Today we’ll take a look at the best beach bachelorette destinations – whether you’re looking for a wild bachelorette party or a relaxing weekend with girlfriends, these beaches are a top choice.

1. Miami, Florida

South Beach has long been heralded as one of the world’s ultimate party destinations. Head to Miami for beautiful water and beaches by day, and some of America’s most lavish clubs by night. If you’re after the same party-til-dawn scene as Vegas but have had your fill of the dessert, pack your best bikini and nightclub gear, and head to Miami for the best of both worlds.

2. Charleston, South Carolina

If you’re looking for the perfect combination of Southern laid back relaxation and awesome nightlife, look no further than Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston’s restaurant scene is the perfect fit for the foodie bride – there’s no shortage of local restaurants serving up both traditional Southern food (often with a modern flair), and any other cuisine you could hope for. Hit up one of Charleston’s top brunch spots for some mimosas and shrimp & grits, then spend the day lounging on one of Charleston’s pristine beaches lined with palmettos.

3. South Padre Island, Texas

South Padre is a notorious spot for party-friendly co-eds in the Spring months, however, thanks to their lax laws concerning alcohol on the beach, Padre proves to be a solid spot for the party-happy bride year-round. However, if you’re looking for a break from beach bars, you can also hit up a slew of other activities in Padre – including activities that can bring out childlike excitement in all members of the bachelorette party, such as sand castle building lessons.

4. San Diego, California

Sand Diego’s beautiful year-round weather is the perfect choice for an early Spring bachelorette party. Split your day between a guided winery or brewery tour and lounging on one of San Diego’s many beautiful beaches (San Diego even offers a nude beach, if that’s something you’re after). Cap your night off with a hilarious drag show at Lips, who will cater to the bachelorette with a special song

5. Tybee Island, Georgia

Just 20 minutes from the gorgeous cobblestone streets of Antebellum-throwback Savannah, a getaway to the northern coast of Georgia can prove perfect for a bride who loves all the romance of Gone with the Wind, as well as the ability to party during the day. Tybee Island recently appealed their ban on alcohol on the beach and streets, which means you can take your margaritas down to the surf (as long as your glass is plastic). Split your bachelorette weekend between seeing the beautiful historic sights of Savannah (one of the few Southern cities that escaped the Civil War unscathed, and therefore a great representation of Antebellum culture), eating pecan pralines, and throwing a few back while lounging in the sand on Tybee Island.
