Check Out the Hollister Challenge

Hollister, California has a State Vehicular Recreation Area, (SVRA), with 24 miles of challenging mud-filled bogs. Hollister is located at the base of the mountains between the town of Hollister and the Salinas Valley. This man-made obstacle course has routes that are nearly impossible to traverse when it is wet.

If you live in the Bay Area, Hollister is less than two hours away, depending on traffic. That makes for heavy weekend crowds but easy access if you are looking for something nearby.

Master the Midwest Mud

Located less than two hours from Chicago, a crazy park awaits ATV lovers in Marseilles, Illinois. Featuring creeks, large fields, a perilous mud hole and a heavily wooded park that is your destination for fun. An off-road park called The Cliffs Insane Terrain awaits the ATV-loving family looking for challenging terrain.

Nearby hotels and restaurants make it easy to add extra days to your stay. The Cliffs Insane Terrain offers discounted prices if you decide to add extra days. With 300 acres to explore, you will probably want to consider wallowing in the mud a little longer.

Trails include a rock crawl, soft soil, sandy soil and small to medium-sized water areas located randomly throughout the park. For your convenience, camping and picnic areas are located nearby.

Head to a Pennsylvania Playground

Approximately 250 miles of off-road trails await your arrival and your ATV at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area. Located in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, this newly developed park continues to expand.

It is centrally located and less than a three-hour drive from Washington, D.C., New York City, Baltimore and Philadelphia. Designed with various degrees of difficulty, discover off-road trails that may just be your match.
