Eastern Europe may not be the first place which comes to mind when you are considering your next vacation. However, it is full of varied and beautiful places which will appeal to everyone; whether you are looking for sun, culture or an activity based holiday.

There are so many incredible places of interest spread across Eastern Europe. Most of them are not heavily advertised; which is why if you want to see and explore them, you have to dig deeper. Check out these amazing destinations and plan your vacation ahead.

Bucharest and Sibiu, Romania

Bucharest is packed with impressive architecture, and the massive Parliament Palace is just one of them. Visitors here will experience its funky vibe and bustling, vibrant atmosphere of the city’s nightlife. The metropolis is additionally known as ‘Little Paris’ and is worthy of the title!

As far as Sibiu is concerned, you should take a step back in time and feel as though you have been transported to a medieval city! Romania is a beautiful city surrounded by rolling hills and, of course, the mystery and allure of Transylvania. Bratislava, Slovakia

Nida, Lithuania

Nida will transport you back in time. The town is made up of wooden cottages, all painted bright colors, which are matched by the boats in the harbor. The beaches are white and sandy and the huge forests dominate the skyline behind the town.

Dubrovnik and Split Croatia

Dubrovnik sits on the edge of the Adriatic Sea; it is a walled city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The view from the city wall of both the city and the sea is stunning! It has an abundance of classic architecture and a relaxed, welcoming feel.\

The second largest city in Croatia, Split, is home to the Diocletian’s Palace, an impressive Roman monument and the centre of this city. There are a myriad of streets to explore and shops, cafes and bars to discover. There is even a beautiful, white sandy beach!

Orheiul Vechi, Moldova

This is the site of a cave monastery which has literally been hewn out of the limestone cliff. It is one of the most beautiful scenes in the world where you are completely immersed in nature.

Belgrade, Serbia

Belgrade is becoming an increasingly popular place to visit. Despite its turbulent history, of which there are still many visible reminders; it is a friendly, vibrant city. The history simply adds to the mystery and glamour.

Warsaw, Poland

The capital city of Poland was destroyed in the Second World War and has been rebuilding ever since! This creates a natural atmosphere of optimism and a vibrant, trendy feel; which is very welcoming to all visitors.

Moscow, Russia

Visitors here can experience the beauty and mystique of Russia both past and present. Moscow is famous around the world and home to the Red Square, the Kremlin and St Basil’s Cathedral. An air of mystery and intrigue still surrounds the city today and makes it a much see destination for anyone.

Riga, Latvia

Tallin, Estonia

This medieval city, complete with cobbled streets and impressive architecture is incredibly well preserved, the old town cab be viewed from the observation platform on the Oleviste Church. It is truly a magical city.

Budapest, Hungary

The Danube River flows right through the middle of this city and creates an illusion of two cities on one river bank. One side is full of rolling hills whilst the other has vast plains, stretching into the distance. There is a huge list of attractions to visit in Budapest, which seems to never sleep.
