Chicago Bachelorette Party

I was lucky enough to spend my bachelorette with my girls in the beautiful city of Chicago! We had a blast and I strongly encourage other newly engaged ladies to consider the Windy City as a stop to Bacheloretteville!

Chicago offers excitement, history, and entertainment all wrapped up in one midwestern city. Whether you prefer a laid-back bachelorette vibe or an all-weekend extravaganza, Chicago has something for you. Here are just a few ideas to get the party started for your once-in-a-lifetime bachelorette shindig.

BYOB Brunch

The city offers a handful of stops that cater to the brunch-obsessedĀ and doesn’t fall short if you’re interested in getting the party started with some cocktails. Brunch restaurants like Ann Sather and Nookies allow you to bring your own champagne and other libations, and they will even supply the juice (like orange juice). Best of all, the food is tasty and fairly priced. It’s the perfect way to start the day with your gals.

Wrigleyville

I could write a novel on everything that Wrigleyville has to offer. To spare you endless reading, I’ll supply you with a few suggestions; Bar hop through Wrigleyville during a Cubs game and it will feel like it’s tailgating season with all of the fans and the hustle and bustle. The Cubby Bear is definitely a place you want to see and it’s right in front of Wrigley Field (also a great place to take a group photo). They usually have an awesome band playing during Cubs games too!

Another place to check out is Sluggers. What makes this place so unique is the fact that it houses an upstairs batting cage, dueling pianos bar, and numerous other arcade games to play. When you’re down for grub or a sit-down style place, head to Goose Island for a beer tour or Salt and Pepper Diner for delicious food.

Boat Tours

You can experience the beautiful Chicago River and Lake Michigan with an Architecture boat tour or rent a boat yourself and go cruising for some fun in the sun! Each boat tour lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour and includes drinks on board that you can purchase.

Cubs Game Rooftop Style

Hit up a Cubs game in style. There are many rooftops available for a solid price per persona that gives you an unlimited access to food and drinks, all while watching the Cubs game from outside the stadium. This is a great option if your group will be spending the day in Wrigleyville for the game. Tickets vary around $100-300+ per person.

Side Note: Not heading to Chicago during baseball season? Lucky for you Chicago is a sports lover’s fantasy. Catch the Chicago Bulls in action, Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks, or the Chicago Bears.

A Bar for the Cowgirls

Joe’s Bar is a world-famous country bar where many country legends have performed. The bar can sometimes be referred to as “Nashville North” with stars like Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, and Brad Paisley playing on the stage, and also where a lot played before they were well-known. If you want to head here just to check it out for lunch, I highly suggest devouring their breakfast burrito with a mimosa to wash it all down!

Beach Bum

This may come as a surprise to many, but Chicago actually has a really cool beach that will make you feel like you’re at the ocean. They even have a couple beachside eateries and bars. Bring a towel, pick your perfect spot and hear the crash of the Lake Michigan waves.

History Buff’s Dream

Chicago has many world-famous museums including the Field Museum of Natural History, Adler Planetarium, and Museum of Science and Industry. Even going to one will fulfill your knowledge hunger. Even Ferris Bueller enjoyed a Chicago museum on his day off! Bonus perk: Chicago offers free days through the year, check them out here to see if you can fit one into your Bachelorette trip.
