Glamping and All Its Glory

When you hear the words camping you think of a few main things; s’mores, fire, tents, and outdoors. Implied in all of these things is “roughing it” as in no electricity, using the outdoors as your premium bathroom, and showers are optional. And while for many, that seems like a great weekend to connect with nature or drink and swim a ridiculous amount with your friends, this isn’t appealing to everyone.

A new big thing in camping and travel is “Glamping” or glamorous camping. Which is like camping, but not. Catch my drift? Yeah me either. So instead of trying to explain it to you further I’m going to show you. Without further ado I give you some of the fanciest glamping campsites out there.

Paws Up, Montana

At a whopping 2,225 bucks a night you can live like the fanciest cowboy of all time at this resort. With room service, gourmet restaurants and even butlers, this glamping resort is basically a hotel inside giant tents. The word camping gets thrown to the wind.

White Pod, Switzerland

Taking the price down to $617 a night, you can fulfill your winter “camping” trip dreams with private bathrooms, wood burning stoves, and the central chalet complete with wifi.

Treehotel Sweden

Making your childhood dreams become a reality one tree at a time. Oh, and at $662 per night. Currently there are five built for use but they have big plans of building 24 more houses, each a unique design for future glampers.

Sinya on Lone Man Creek, Wimberley, Texas

King sized bed, Turkish cotton towels, air conditioning, what more could you want in a tent? Keep yourself cool in Texas at this glamping site and take a dip in the creek next door.

I know these are only four examples of glamping but you catch the drift, right? It definitely is the farthest thing from actual camping you can get. Not to say I wouldn’t try it, because I so will if I ever get the chance, but it’s basically like staying in a fancy hotel in the middle of nowhere. However, it’s something everyone should try at least once in their life.
