1. Pumpkin Picking: 

One of the most traditional fall activities is pumpkin picking. Hotel Vermont in Burlington, Vermont has a pumpkin-picking package for travelers of all ages. Take a trip with your family and try out the wagon ride, sample cider donuts, and traveling through a three-mile corn maze before picking out pumpkins!

2. Sailing: 

Virginia’s vineyards is the perfect place for travelers to kayak Church Creek between the Atlantic OCean and Chesapeake Bay to reach Chatham Vineyards. Here, travelers can taste some top-ranked Chardonnay and take a few bottles back with them on the kayak!

3. Apple Picking: 

Wisconsin is the place to be for travelers who want to enjoy a nice day of apple picking. Weston’s Antique Apple Orchard in New Berlin, Wisconsin, is one of a kind. It is a 16-acre family-owned orchard that grows more than 100 varieties of apples. In the fall families can stop by for a tour, which includes apple picking, tastings, and a walk through the Dutch colonial barn, which dates back to 1901. Families can also enjoy the petting zoo and barrel rides!

4. Bike Tours: 

South Dakota’s Black Hills region has amazing, expansive landscapes. Bike tours depart capital Rapid City for breathtaking views of Mount Rushmore and go to Custer State Park. There are 10 different cycling routes, so there is plenty to see!

5. Tour over the Hudson: 

Take a trip to New York to ascent Poughkeepsie’s Walkway Over the Hudson, which is a 1.25-mile footbridge that crosses the state’s largest river!
