The Omaha Zoo’s Scott Aquarium is one of the best and newest in the nation and is conveniently just off I-80 and minutes from I-29 in Omaha. While you’re there also check out one of the largest zoos in the world, The Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, and the IMAX theater.


Omaha Children’s Museum

Have some little ones traveling with you? The Children’s Museum in Omaha is a fantastic place to get your kiddos engaged and let them get out some of their energy. Let them sit inside real tractors and combines and interact with tons of different displays and exhibits.

Gene Leahy Mall (Downtown)

While you’re downtown, walk to 12th & Farnam to walk around and explore the newly renovated Gene Leahy Mall. It’s a great spot for a photo with the group or to sit and relax for a bit. If you have the kids with you, find the 2-store slides built into the side of the hill and let them go for a couple runs.

Lauritzen Gardens

Omaha loves music. So much so that nearly every shopping center or neighborhood area has a summer concert series. Check out Aksarben Village, Midtown Crossing, Rockbrook Village, and Village Pointe for fun concert series on various nights throughout the week and weekend.

A great local stop for family fun, bowling, sand volleyball, laser tag, games and food. It’s about 5-10 mins west of Omaha in Elkhorn. It’s new, clean, friendly and locally-owned.
