Four Best: Winter Bachelorette Destinations

Winter may initially seem like a challenging season to host a bachelorette. After all, snow boots and puffy jackets are hardly what you think of when considering bachelorette attire. However, we can assure you it’s possible to have a blast during a winter bachelorette Still, it’s not the season where almost everywhere is a safe bet (for example, we love Chicago…but maybe, ahem, winter is not exactly the best time to have a group of girls in skirts wandering around the city’s winter snow banks), so your best bet for a winter bachelorette is to either take full advantage of the weather, or ditch it entirely. Here are our four favorite options for winter bachelorette destinations this year:

1. Aspen

Embrace the winter chill and get yourself to Aspen! For a group that loves to ski or enjoys other outdoor sports, Aspen has it all. The apres-ski scene is also perfect for a bachelorette, as you have a mix of everything from more casual ski bars to clubs imported from LA. For those who maybe don’t love the skiing as much, there is plenty to do after a couple of green runs and multiple mugs of hot chocolate, from a yoga class and spa time at O2 Aspen to drinks at the Aspen Brewery Company or cocktails at J Bar in the Hotel Jerome.

2. Miami

If you’re looking to escape the cold instead, Miami – that classic bachelorette destination – is a spectacular option. Warm enough to satisfy everyone, you can enjoy the beach and pool parties. For a more chill take on the Miami scene, make sure to grab drinks and food at the beautiful Broken Shaker bar and plan a post-clubbing brunch at the sensational Southern restaurant Yardbird.

3. Cabo San Lucas

Cabo actually may have everything – including the option to have a villa, a chef, and activities from banana boats to kayaking to bars and night clubs just steps outside your door – all for a fairly reasonable price. We’ve liked stays at Cabo Villas and can highly recommend the tacos and tequila you’ll find pretty much everywhere, but highly recommend a stop at Cabo Wabo Cantina.

4. Las Vegas

No list of bachelorette destinations would be complete without Vegas. We’ll skip over the obvious (yes, all the drinks and dancing at any of the clubs on the Strip, with Marquee at the Cosmo and XS at Wynn (being particular favorites), but also consider taking a week and renting a houseboat on Lake Havasu for a post-vacation vacation. Pro tip? Plan a Vegas/The Hangover-themed bachelorette scavenger hunt. First one to nab Mike Tyson’s tiger wins.
