Best Wine and Cheese Bars in NYC

Wine and cheese are one of the best pairs! If you’re looking to do something new and fun in New York, check out these amazing and delicious wine and cheese bars in NYC.

1. Vino Vino:

Located on West Broadway, this sleek wine bar offers an array of international cheeses such as French camembert and Swiss tete de moine. There is a wine shop next door to the bar, so if you’re enjoying what you’re drinking, you can purchase the bottle next door!

2. Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar:

This is a great place to chill out with your girlfriends or even for a date. The ambiance is classy and the bar is very small, so you should definitely make reservations if you are planning to go at night. Although they are mostly known for their sweet chocolate wine, they do have some great cheese platters as well. You can try a combination of different cheese and chocolate with your drinks!

3. Casellula Cheese & Wine Cafe:

Located in Hell’s Kitchen, this restaurant has more than 40 types of cheese to pair with their eclectic wine list. They are also known for a delightful mac ‘n cheese featuring Fol Epi, Comte, chevre, lardons, and caramelized onions.

4. ‘inoteca:

If you’re not looking to spend too much money, head down to the Lower East Side to sip on some wine and try some reasonably priced cheese. Their formaggi menu includes Italian cheeses available in different sized platters. You can sit outside if you enjoy watching the crowds go by as you sip on your delicious wine!

5. Pata Negra:

This tiny Spanish tapas restaurant offers a wide variety of imported cheese such as la serena and manchego. The staff is extremely friendly as you sift through the menu of Spanish wines.

 6. The Jakewalk:

Located in Brooklyn, this restaurant and cocktail bar is known for its wine and cheese because of its shared ownership with Smith & Vine wine store and Stinky Brooklyn cheese shop. You can choose from a menu of more than 30 cheeses and 25 wines by the glass. I suggest opting for the fondue for two made with cheddar and cave-aged Swiss!
